Leadership Omar Al Futtaim

Omar Al Futtaim has led Al-Futtaim towards corporate success and global recognition since 2001 as Vice Chairman & CEO. With over three decades of experience, he has played a key role in the company’s growth, navigating it through transformation and expansion. Prior to his leadership role, Omar spent 12 years in various positions across the family’s diverse portfolio, gaining a deep understanding of the organisation’s values. 

His entrepreneurial vision and commitment to innovation have been essential to Al-Futtaim’s continued success. Omar’s leadership is defined by a focus on excellence, customer satisfaction, and adapting to the ever-changing global market. 

Omar holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Macalester College, Minnesota, USA, and remains dedicated to driving sustainable growth, strategic expansion, and making a positive community impact.

Leadership Paul Willis

Paul Willis is a highly accomplished automotive industry leader and the President of Al-Futtaim Automotive since February 2019. He oversees a diverse portfolio of automotive businesses across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. 

With extensive experience in strategy, product development, brand building, finance, and customer satisfaction, Paul has had a distinguished career with nine of the world’s leading automotive brands in the UK. Before joining Al-Futtaim, he held key leadership roles, including Managing Director at Volkswagen Group UK and COO at Kia Motors Europe, along with senior positions at BMW, Mazda, Toyota, and Ford. 

Known for his strategic vision and commitment to excellence, Paul drives high performance and customer-centricity, ensuring the success and growth of Al-Futtaim’s automotive division.

Leadership Dr. Haider Al Enzi

Dr. Haider Al Enzi is a distinguished healthcare executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in strategic planning, operational excellence, and commissioning new healthcare facilities. He has driven growth and innovation, introducing advanced medical technologies and developing integrated healthcare networks to improve access and efficiency. 

He led critical initiatives, including emergency responses to public health crises and partnerships enhancing community health. Additionally, he ventured into entrepreneurship, managing a high-performing franchise in Canada known for its excellent customer service. 

With expertise in healthcare administration and financial acumen, Dr. Al Enzi plays a key role in advancing Al-Futtaim Health’s mission to improve healthcare standards and patient experiences.

Leadership Naaman Atallah

Naaman Atallah is the President of Al-Futtaim Real Estate, leading the division’s growth, portfolio optimisation, and customer-focused developments across the Middle East and North Africa. With over 30 years in real estate, he has transformed major firms, driving strategic expansion and financial success. 

Previously, he served as Group CEO of Nakheel Properties, CEO of Piramal Realty and Dubai Properties, and held senior roles at Qatari Diar, Emaar, and Solidere. His leadership continues to strengthen Al-Futtaim Real Estate’s presence and customer engagement under the guidance of Omar Al Futtaim, Vice Chairman & CEO. 

Naaman holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Pepperdine University, USA, and has completed the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD, France.

Leadership Omer Elamin

Omer Elamin is the President of Orient Insurance PJSC, a leading UAE insurer with a capital of 500 million dirhams. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its presence, earning top-tier ratings, including an “A+” positive outlook from Standard & Poor’s and an “Aa+” from AM Best. 

He also chairs Orient Insurance in Egypt, Sri Lanka, and Turkey and serves on the boards of Al-Futtaim Financial Services, Al-Futtaim Health, and the Emiratisation Committee. With extensive experience in the insurance sector, he has held key leadership roles at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the UAE Insurance Association, and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.

Leadership Fadi Hammadeh

Fadi Hammadeh has served as General Counsel of Al-Futtaim since 2009, overseeing legal, governance, risk management, education, CSR, and corporate communications. He leads a team of 500+, providing advice across these areas to the company and its subsidiaries. Fadi is also a board member of the Al Futtaim Education Foundation and Chairman of the Deira International School and Universal American School boards. 

With over two decades of experience in the UAE, Fadi has held senior roles at Dubai Properties, DIFC, and Majid Al Futtaim. He teaches law at Sorbonne University in Dubai and holds an LLB, LLMs, and an MSc in Psychology & Neuroscience from King’s College London.

Leadership David Henderson

David Henderson is a seasoned human resources executive with over 30 years of experience across FMCG, retail, financial services, and heavy industry. As HR Director at Al-Futtaim, he oversees the company’s human capital strategy. 

David has held senior HR leadership roles globally, including Chief Human Resources Officer at Zurich Insurance, where he contributed to the company’s successful transformation. At MetLife, he led global talent management and post-acquisition integration of AIG. He also spent 15 years at PepsiCo, serving as Chief People Officer for Europe and Chief Talent Officer in New York. 

David holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Stirling in Management and Industrial Relations, and Warwick Business School in Business Administration.

Leadership Pär Östberg

Pär Östberg is a C-level executive with 30 years of leadership experience in European, US, Asian and Middle Eastern locations. He is currently the Director of Finance of Al Futtaim based in Dubai. 

He was previously the Chief Investment Officer of Dussur, a leading Saudi Arabian investment company owned by The Public Investment Fund (PIF) – Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, Saudi Aramco and Sabic. Earlier, he worked in a similar capacity as Chief Investment Officer at AB Industrivärden, a Swedish public investment company. He also served on the boards of leading public companies including Ericsson, Skanska and SSAB. 

Previously, he worked 22 years for AB Volvo, a Fortune 500 automotive company where he held various international positions across the Group, including Head of the Asia Division and Group CFO. He was a member of the Group executive committee for 8 years.

Leadership Russell Rodrigues

Russell Rodrigues joined Al-Futtaim in 1994 and has held various roles across accounting, financial reporting, shared services, treasury, IT, and financial control. As Director of Internal Audit, he oversees the global internal audit function, ensuring robust financial governance and risk management across all operations.

Leadership Marwan Shehadeh

Marwan Shahadeh leads business development, mergers & acquisitions, and new ventures across all divisions at Al-Futtaim. Since joining in 2003, he has played a key role in major real estate projects, including Dubai Festival City, Cairo Festival City, and Doha Festival City. 

He structured a $500 million real estate development fund with Morgan Stanley and established Al-Futtaim Investment Management Limited in DIFC. He has led over 16 acquisitions worth more than $2.5 billion across the GCC, North Africa, Southeast Asia, and East Africa. 

Previously, Marwan was CFO at Kingdom Hotel Investments (KHI), consolidating $1 billion in assets and preparing the company for an IPO. He began his career at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York. He holds a Master’s in International Business from Institut D’Etudes des Relations Internationales, Paris, and has completed executive programmes at Harvard Business School.
